Loan Officer Trainee

Blue J Mortgage is looking for motivated individuals to launch their careers as Mortgage Loan Officers. This remote, commission-based role provides comprehensive training and licensing support for those eager to enter the mortgage industry. No experience is required—just strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and an interest in obtaining an NMLS license in TX and/or LA.   • Strong communication and people skills

  • Sales or customer service experience is a plus

  • Excellent attention to detail and organization

  • Comfortable working in a remote, commission-based environment

 

Experience

  • Interest in obtaining a Mortgage Loan Officer license (NMLS) in TX and/or LA

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred – In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

  • No prior mortgage experience required – we provide training and guidance

  • Background in sales, finance, customer service, or real estate is beneficial but not required

  • Must be willing to complete the required pre-licensing education and pass the NMLS exam

 

Responsibilities

  • Learn the fundamentals of mortgage lending and industry regulations.

  • Assist clients in understanding home loan options and the loan process.

  • Develop relationships with homebuyers, real estate agents, and industry professionals.

  • Work closely with experienced Loan Officers to gain hands-on experience.

  • Receive guidance, mentorship, and training to pass the NMLS licensing exam.

  • Transition into a fully licensed Mortgage Loan Officer with strong earning potential!
